Experience your Sahara adventure on this one-week hard enduro tour in Tunisia! A trip for experienced motorcycle enduro riders who want to explore the fascinating desert landscape of Tunisia and are looking for a new challenge. A unique experience for riders who love to drive through sand landscapes!
Tunisia Enduro Tour
The Sahara is the largest desert in the world, covering nine million square kilometers. It's an environment that seems inhospitable yet is equally mesmerizing.
On this Sahara adventure for single-cylinder enduro enthusiasts, you have the chance to experience the desert adventure with a group of like-minded individuals and to experience motorcycle riding in the Sahara par excellence. A week might seem short for the desert, but it’s certainly a great introduction to the African adventure, which is NOT suitable for beginner enduro riders! If you lack experience with off-road enduro riding, you should first book a two-week adventure trip to Tunisia with appropriate enduro and sand training.

Before the Motorcycle Trip: Meeting & Arrival for Participants not Flying to Tunisia:
We will meet for motorcycle loading at OVERCROSS in Tübingen. Those not arriving by plane can, for an additional fee, travel with the Land Rover Pickup or the Mercedes-Benz Rally Truck on the 24-hour sea route to Africa. Typically, we depart on Saturday at 1:00 PM and arrive at the hotel in Tunisia on Sunday around 6:00 PM.
Day 1: Flight from Europe to Tunisia
Once you arrive at the airport, the adventure truly begins! We’ll pick you up with a donkey cart (or support vehicle ;-) ) from the airport and you’ll ride in the cargo area to your motorcycle, which we’ve already transported to Tunisia. We’ll head to your motorcycle, and after a cup of tea and a delicious dinner, you'll head to the "1000-star hotel" under the open sky among cows, dogs, and wolves.

Day 2: Gravel Road and On-road Stage
On the first long stage, we ride through the Dahr Mountains to the edge of the Sahara. 1000 meters above Chott el Djerid, we'll set up camp in a cave. A cup of tea and soup over an open fire. Luxury? ... Not at all! We are on the edge of the desert at the filming location of "The English Patient"—nothing here except fantastic nature!
Plenty of gravel roads in this Enduro tour through Tunisia
Day 3: On the Enduros towards the Desert
Via the Rommel Track, we'll reach an outcrop of the Chott el Djerid salt lake. It gets hot and exciting on Han Solo’s landing strip. Behind the scenes of "Star Wars," the sun blazes. We start with sand riding training. In flat terrain, we’ll familiarize ourselves with the basics of sand riding: proper acceleration, shifting, and braking.
For this enduro tour we always to be technically well-trained, also on flat surfaces!
Day 4: Enduro Training Day in the Desert
Correct steering, accelerating, drifting, and understanding power as well as your own limitations are crucial learning factors, as is reprogramming habits. Today’s essential points are looking ahead, the flexibility on the bike, and steering with throttle input. The dunes are initially 30 centimeters high, and they get steeper as we progress.
It is also important to train your "standing" technique for the sandy dunes of Tunesie. We do that too, don't worry!
Day 5: Your Tracks in the Sand
Enduro romance is when you race like a maniac through an apparently endless salt lake in blistering heat. Before the trip, you might have been sensible and wouldn’t have ridden faster than 30 km/h here, let alone standing up. Mastering the throttle and properly shifting your balance is today’s exercise and stage. The last few kilometers before reaching civilization are covered on the road.
Enduro like no other; blasting through the dunes with high speeds
Day 6: Rock & Roll over the Dunes of the Sahara
Rüdi, who on a later tour became known as "no fence," has many long stories about this day when nearly all participants will reach their personal limits. We’ll navigate through the large dune field on trails and tracks across the Tunisian Sahara. A bath in the oasis is the perfect way to end the day and relax your muscles a bit.
A dream comes true: Experience a Sahara adventure with your motorbike!
Day 7: The Enduro Day
Riding over sand fields, tracks, and roads through the Dahar Mountains, we’ll return to civilization at the seaside hotel from early morning until sunset. The last evening is usually spent washing off the desert dust at the bar and celebrating!
Enduro riders knocking sand in Tunisia, yay!
Day 8: Final Vacation Day & Return Flight
We’ll load the motorcycles back onto the trailer, and the guide will head home. This is where our paths part for now. We’ll meet again a few thousand kilometers away next weekend at OVERCROSS in Germany, where you’ll retrieve your motorcycle. Individual return flights for all participants. A final look at Tunisia before the plane leaves the African continent. Everyone has a few hours to reflect on their experiences.
Today it dawns on everyone that an adventure is coming to an end!
IMPORTANT:
This trip is an adventure tour where we aim to provide not only enduro training but also a substantial amount of adventure. Therefore, please understand in advance that we may adjust the tour leadership interactively according to the group dynamics and NOT according to a fixed "schedule" ;-)
