Day 1: Erzurum → Erzincan (150 km)

Start your motorbike tour from Erzurum, known for its Seljuk architecture with landmarks such as the Çifte Minareli Medrese and the Erzurum Fortress. Continue to Erzincan, a city known for its beautiful valleys and rivers. Erzincan is a historical gateway between eastern and central Anatolia.

Day 2: Erzincan → Sivas (240 km)

Drive through mountainous landscapes to Sivas, a city of importance in the Turkish War of Independence. Visit the Sivas Congress Hall, where the national movement began in 1919. Sivas is also famous for Seljuk monuments such as the Great Mosque.

Day 3: Sivas → Kayseri (200 km)

Continue your journey to Kayseri, an ancient city at the foot of Mount Erciyes. Kayseri is known for its Roman and Ottoman heritage, with highlights including the Kayseri Fortress and the nearby Cappadocia region, known for its surreal landscapes of rock churches and underground towns.

Day 4: Kayseri → Adıyaman (340 km)

Drive to Adıyaman, known for the famous Mount Nemrut. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to monumental statues erected by King Antiochos I of Commagene in the 1st century BC and offers one of the most impressive sunsets in Turkey.

Day 5: Adıyaman → Diyarbakir (150 km)

Drive to Diyarbakir, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Diyarbakir is known for its massive basalt city walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Ulu Camii (Great Mosque), one of the oldest mosques in Anatolia.

Day 6: Diyarbakir → Prizren, Kosovo (450 km)

Cross the border onto the Balkan Peninsula and drive to Prizren in Kosovo. This charming city has a rich Ottoman history, with landmarks such as the Sinan Pasha Mosque and the Kaljaja Fortress, which offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains.

Day 7: Prizren → Peja, Kosovo (85 km)

Ride to Peja, a town at the foot of the Rugova Mountains. It is known for the Patriarchate of Peć, a medieval Serbian Orthodox monastery. The nearby Rugova Gorge offers spectacular motorbike scenery and hiking opportunities.

Day 8: Peja → Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (270 km)

Travel to Sarajevo, a city characterised by centuries of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Yugoslav history. Explore Baščaršija, the old bazaar district, and visit the Latin Bridge, where the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand triggered the First World War.

Day 9: Sarajevo → Mostar (130 km)

Drive to Mostar, known for the Stari Most (Old Bridge), a 16th century Ottoman bridge that was rebuilt after the Bosnian War. The city's cobbled streets and minarets give it a unique flair that reflects its mixed Ottoman and European influence.

Day 10: Mostar → Split, Croatia (170 km)

Leave Bosnia and travel to Split in Croatia, a beautiful coastal city. Split is known for Diocletian's Palace, a massive Roman structure that forms the old town centre. Enjoy the mix of ancient history and vibrant Mediterranean life.

Day 11: Split → Ljubljana, Slovenia (470 km)

Continue your journey to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. With its baroque architecture and medieval castle, Ljubljana offers a mix of history and modern cultural life. The relaxed atmosphere and the Ljubljanica River make for a pleasant stay.
