Arrival day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and preparation:

We recommend taking an overnight flight from Europe and landing at Ulaanbaatar airport in the morning to make the most of the day. We leave our luggage at the hotel and visit the Gandantegchinlen Monastery and Sukhbaatar Square. After checking into the hotel, we take a rest. Later in the afternoon, we collect the motorbikes and go for a short test ride. Then we head back to the hotel ready to go.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar to Erdenet:

Erdenet, a large mining centre, is home to one of the largest copper mines in the world. The journey (~350 km) leads through mixed terrain, with a stopover at the Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of the largest and most beautiful Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia. A cultural highlight of your trip

Day 3: Erdenet to Bulgan:

Bulgan, historically linked to the Mongol Empire, is close to the birthplace of Genghis Khan. The journey (~250 km) takes us through hilly terrain before we reach the border with Kazakhstan. A day full of historical significance.

Day 4: Bulgan to Ust-Kamenogorsk:

Ust-Kamenogorsk, founded as a Russian fortress in 1720, is now an industrial and cultural centre. The journey (~300 km) takes you through the Altai Mountains, with breathtaking views and a visit to the Ethnographic Museum. An exciting stage of your round trip.

Day 5: Ust-Kamenogorsk to Semey:

Semey, known for its literary heritage and the former Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, was the exile of Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The journey (~250 km) leads through flat terrain. Visit the Dostoevsky Museum and the Abai Museum - an unforgettable part of your motorbike tour.

Day 6: Semey to Ayagoz:

Ayagoz, with its strategic historical location, offers ancient petroglyphs and burial mounds. The journey (~300 km) takes you through the Kazakh steppe where you can explore these archaeological sites. Ideal for a real travelling adventure.

Day 7: Ayagoz to Taldykorgan:

Taldykorgan, located on the banks of the Karatal River, was historically important as a regional trading centre. The journey (~260 km) includes a mixture of urban and rural landscapes, past apple orchards and rolling hills. A highlight for your round trip.

Day 8: Taldykorgan to Almaty:

Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, is known for its scenic beauty and cultural sites such as the Central State Museum. The journey (~250 km) takes you from the Kazakh mountains to the steppe. Another unforgettable day on your motorbike.

Day 9: Almaty rest day:

Almaty, located at the foot of the Tien Shan Mountains, offers attractions such as the Zenkov Cathedral and the Medeu Ice Rink. Spend the day exploring these historical and cultural sites. A day to relax and reflect during your motorbike tour.

Day 10: Almaty to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan:

Bishkek, originally a caravan rest stop, has developed into the lively capital of Kyrgyzstan. The journey (~300 km) takes you past the Suusamyr Valley and over the Töö-Ashuu Pass, known for its breathtaking panoramas. A perfect end to the day.

Day 11: Bishkek to Toktogul:

Toktogul, named after the famous Kyrgyz poet Toktogul Satylganov, offers the impressive Toktogul reservoir. The journey (~150 km) includes challenging climbs with views of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains. Your round trip gets more exciting here.

Day 12: Toktogul to Jalalabat:

Jalalabat is known for its healing mineral springs and was an important stop on the ancient Silk Road. The ride (~100 km) leads through the picturesque Alay Valley, with views of the Babash-Ata mountain. Experience a fascinating motorbike tour through the region.

Day 13: Jalalabat to Osh:

On your departure day, you have the opportunity to visit the local bazaar and buy the last souvenirs before you are taken to the airport. Your unforgettable journey through the steppes and mountains of Central Asia ends here.
