Brazil conjures images of the endless Amazon rainforest, stunning beaches, Rio de Janeiro, Carnival, and Samba. While these are true, Brazil is much more—a vast land of superlatives. Spanning 8.5 million km², it’s about the size of Europe and occupies half of South America. Our adventure tour will introduce you to a portion of this incredible country! The climate ranges from the always warm tropical north to all subtropical variations and a temperate south. Since the 16th century, when the Portuguese began settling the land, Brazil has cast a magical spell on foreigners. Initially drawn by gold, later by rubber and coffee, today's visitors are captivated by fiery rhythms and exotic charm. The largest country in South America is a kaleidoscope of dazzling images.
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Rio de Janeiro offers an incredible scenery of lush vegetation, deep blue sea, and white sandy beaches. It is a city nestled between mountains and the sea, inhabited by warm-hearted locals known as Cariocas, and offers a wealth of cultural, entertainment, and shopping opportunities. Every day, Rio's streets and sidewalks accommodate about eight million people and a million vehicles, all vying for space. Despite this spectacular chaos, a Carioca’s enthusiasm remains undiminished. For them, everything is relative, except one thing—the wonder and beauty of Rio de Janeiro.

Pick up from the hotel and drive to the Cosme Velho Station, where you’ll board a cog train through the Tijuca Rainforest to Corcovado Mountain. The 20-minute train ride offers a close look at the dense tropical vegetation and stunning views of the beaches and city. Disembark at Corcovado and ascend a few steps to the summit, where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. After taking in the breathtaking views, descend by train and continue the journey along Rio’s world-famous beaches to Urca Beach. Here, you will board a cable car that takes you to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. On the way back, you’ll pass Flamengo Park along Guanabara Bay to downtown. A city tour includes the economic and financial center, the Candelaria Church (Cathedral), St. Sebastian Cathedral, the Lapa Arches, the Municipal Theatre, the National Library, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Sambadrome, where the famous parades take place annually.

- Full-Day Tour to Petropolis: Petropolis was the summer residence of Brazil’s imperial family in the last century, named after the first emperor, Pedro I. The drive through the beautiful mountain scenery of the Serra dos Orgaos takes you to Petropolis, located at an altitude of 850 meters. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Imperial Museum, which houses the crown jewels. Note: This tour can also include lunch.
- Evening Program: Rio by Night - Samba Show: Enjoy a captivating show featuring performers in lavish costumes that showcases the rich cultural and musical heritage of Brazil.
- Half-Day Tour to the Olympic Boulevard, including the Museum of Tomorrow and Rio Art Museum (6 hours): The demolition of the elevated Perimetral highway, replaced by a new highway, tunnel, and boulevard, allowed Rio’s downtown to be revitalized and transformed into a cultural hub. The new waterfront promenade, Orla Conde, runs 3.5 km along Guanabara Bay, giving visitors access to a previously inaccessible part of the city. Pedestrians and cyclists can now relax and enjoy the new views. This redevelopment is one of the most significant legacies of the Olympic Games. After strolling along the Orla Conde and the Olympic Boulevard, visit the Rio Art Museum (MAR), followed by the Museum of Tomorrow, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Iguassu is the most magnificent natural wonder in southern Brazil, where a gigantic series of waterfalls tumble down a gorge on the border with Paraguay and Argentina. A total of 275 falls plunge over a 3-km-wide chasm, creating an everlasting mist adorned with rainbows. All of this is set within a subtropical forest, whose lush greenery envelops this untamed natural spectacle with an aura of primordial beauty. You will visit the Brazilian side of the falls, which offers a panoramic view of this stunning natural wonder. A narrow walkway leads to the lower step of the falls, where you are surrounded by roaring water, mist, and spray, along with the green of the jungle, uprooted trees, and a semi-circular rainbow. Return to the hotel.

Iguassu Waterfalls between Argentiene and Brazil
After breakfast, visit the Argentine side of the falls. The trip takes you over the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguassu River, which forms the natural border between Brazil and Argentina (short customs formalities at the border). While the Brazilian side offers primarily a panoramic view of the falls, the Argentine side allows you to walk close to the individual waterfalls on both lower and upper trails. The Ecological Jungle Train takes you to the Devil’s Throat Station, from where a short walk leads to the spectacular viewpoint of the Devil’s Throat. Return to the hotel.

Panorama Iguacu waterfalls, a mighty display of nature!
Discover nature like no other around the outskirts of Manaus
Transfer from your hotel to the pier to begin your jungle adventure (in a group). You will spend the next three days and two nights at the Amazon Ecopark Lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be greeted with a tropical fruit juice. The Amazon Ecopark is about a half-hour from Manaus. The complex consists of 21 bungalows, each with three rooms featuring air conditioning, a fan, and a bathroom with hot water.
Note: The lodge stay is in a group with international travelers and an English-speaking guide (upon request, German guides are also possible)

In the morning, you will visit the Monkey Forest, an area where rescued animals are reintroduced to the wild. You’ll have the opportunity to observe them from a platform as they roam and eat. Afterward, you’ll go piranha fishing in the Amazon. In the evening, take a boat ride to explore the nocturnal wildlife and witness the "Meeting of the Waters," where the dark Rio Negro meets the sandy-colored Solimoes River without mixing.

The famous Manaus Opera House with OVERCROSS Tour Operator!
In the morning, transfer back to Manaus. During a panoramic tour, we will show you old Manaus, with memories of the times of the rubber boom at the turn of the century, such as São Sebastian Square. You will see the customs house, which was made in Liverpool (England) over a hundred years ago and shipped to Manaus, the bell tower, also known as "Little Big Ben", the central square, the cathedral and the market square. Afterwards, you will make a photo stop at the opera house, which was built entirely with material from Europe in the golden age of the rubber boom.

Ouro Preto - declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, was the capital of Minas Gerais during the gold cycle. Its name, translated as "Black Gold", comes from the alluvial gold found in connection with the iron ore deposits. It is a completely preserved colonial city, with steep streets lined with authentic baroque houses and churches, the most beautiful of which are the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Church of Our Lady of the Pillars and the Church of Our Lady of Carmo.
On the way, you will visit Mariana, where you will take a walk through the picturesque streets of the city, which will allow you to glimpse the houses of the early 18th century with their balconies made of wood, iron and even soapstone. This excursion also includes a visit to the "Palacio Velho" gold mine. The "Old Palace Mine" is part of the oldest and most productive gold mining of the 18th century in Minas Gerais. It is located directly beneath the ruins of the original governor's palace. The entire structure used for gold mining has been preserved. You can see tunnels, corridors, large rooms and also places where gold was washed out of the stone and the parent rock was crushed and ground in a crushing process.
Then visit the city of Congonhas, which houses very important works of the Brazilian Gold Age. The most important places to visit are Aleijadinho's masterpiece sculptures of the Twelve Prophets carved in soapstone and his sculptural representation of the Via Crucis (Stations of the Cloister) in polychrome wood. The 66 life-size statues are Brazil's greatest art treasure.

Half-day city tour of Ouro Preto, where you will visit, among other things, the Church of São Francisco de Assis, with painted wood and soapstone carvings. This is the most important design of the Brazilian church architect and sculptor Aleijadinho. You will also visit the Church of Nossa Senhora do Pilar, which is richly decorated with gold.
The Oratory Museum was inaugurated in 1998 in the city of Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, in an 18th-century building belonging to the Venerable Ordem Terceira do Carmo, which has been completely restored and adapted to house the museum.
It has a magnificent collection of 162 oratorios and 300 paintings from the 17th to the 20th century.
At the end of the tour, you will visit the Casa da Ópera, the oldest theater in Latin America (1770).

Salvador da Bahia - The city of Afro-Brazilian cultures is known for both its beautiful beaches and its historic old town. With its baroque churches and monasteries from the 17th and 18th centuries, Salvador is one of the most impressive colonial cities in Brazil. After arriving in Salvador, transfer from the airport to the hotel.

The focus of the historical tour of Salvador is on colonial Brazil and Afro-Brazilian history. Pelourinho is one of the largest baroque quarters outside of Europe and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are centuries-old buildings and churches as well as numerous museums to explore here. The tour takes you to both the new and old parts of the city.
Starting from the Barra district, the tour starts with a view of the Atlantic Ocean and the first lighthouse on the American continent; the Saint Antonio Fort. From there you drive through the traditional districts of Corredor da Vitória and Campo Grande (the scene of the carnival in Salvador). From the municipal square you have a good view of the city below and the Bahía de Todos los Santos. Then you head towards Pelourinho, through the narrow stone streets, past some of the most important Brazilian-colonial roots of the country. After the beautiful churches and buildings of the district, the tour ends at the Terreiro de Jesus square. There you will find the San Francisco Church with its gilded interior facade and jacaranda wood furnishings.
